Why did Kate Ritchie get her personal assistant to handle the follow up of her car crash in Sydney and why did police not attend the scene?

Kate Ritchie reportedly got her personal assistant to follow up her multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, and police were not called to the scene.

The Nova 96.9 radio presenter was allegedly behind the wheel of her black BMW X5 xDrive40i 2023 when the incident unfolded on Dudley Street, Randwick.

According to eyewitness accounts, Ritchie’s BMW collided with a parked Mitsubishi Pajero, forcefully pushing it off the road and into a parked Kia.

She exchanged details with the driver before quickly leaving to pick up her nine-year-old daughter, Mae, who she shares with ex-husband Stuart Webb.

No roadside sobriety test was administered and NSW Police did not attend the scene.

It appears the drivers will handle the matter privately and Ritchie may be charged a hefty repair bill.

The owner of the Kia, who wished to remain anonymous, explained Kate said her personal assistant would follow up on the matter.

All three vehicles involved suffered substantial damage and were later towed away from the suburban street.

Ritchie’s luxury BMW suffered significant damage on the driver’s side.

The hood was left visibly mangled following the accident, as was the right front wheel, bumper and radiator grill.

The car’s engine also appeared to be visible, and both airbags in the vehicle were deployed.

Daily Mail Australia reached out to NSW Police who provided the following statement.

‘About 5.10pm on Wednesday (6 November 2024) emergency services were called to Dudley Street, Randwick, following reports of a crash,’ it began.

Ritchie tied the knot with husband Stuart Webb in 2010, but the pair split nine years later in 2020.

She is currently single after ending her relationship with high-flying financial adviser, Will Skelton.
