Why shoppers are losing it over $15 Kmart Australia buy that quietly landed on shelves: ‘Add to cart immediately’

Kmart Australia has quietly released a new kitchen gadget – and word has already got out about the ‘game-changer’ online.

An eagle-eyed customer spotted the $15 Microwave Toastie Maker in store and posted a snap in a group where it quickly took off.

The budget buy is designed to make crispy toasted sandwiches in the microwave in minutes.

It’s available in four colours – pink, blue, green and and black – and is perfect for rushed mornings or for those on the go.

Photos posted to a popular Facebook group sent Kmart fans into a spin, with many admitting they’d waited a year to get their hands on the hot buy again.

‘It’s so amazing,’ one woman wrote.

‘It actually makes the toasties crispier than any toastie maker I’ve used before,’ she wrote.

Another said: ‘Omg I need this for work! Save me some money from buying food from the canteen.’

‘This would be great for someone who drives around daily for work, just pull into 7/11 get you a $1 coffee and use their microwave to heat up your lunch,’ someone else wrote. ‘Add to cart.’

To use the product, simply place a sandwich inside the toastie maker and pop into the microwave until toasted.

It’s recommended to use a microwave of 1000W or less and to use for no longer than three minutes.

It is made with a soft silicone outer case and non-stick coated plates for easy cleaning.

It is being rolled out across stores nationally now.
