Why this $15 Kmart Australia bathroom buy keeps selling out: ‘Couldn’t recommend it more’

Kmart fans are rushing to stores across the country to get their hands on an ‘amazing’ quick-drying bathroom set that continues to sell out online.

The Stone Dry Bathmat and Tray Set, $15, includes both a large sized bath mat and a small vanity tray for toiletries.

The sleek grey coloured set is made of diatomite and comes with its own sandpaper for easy cleaning, and a sheet for placing underneath.

The bargain buy promises to be fast drying and non-slip, and has already gone viral; one TikTok video received a whopping 465,000 views.

Fans of the ‘decent sized’ bathmat say it’s extra sturdy and that water from the bath or shower only takes five minutes to dry completely.

‘The mat’s absorption game is strong,’ one woman said.

‘I would absolutely recommend this,’ another mum agreed.

Others said that even though they had to lift the solid bathmat up daily to aerate it, the speed it dried was worth it.

One woman from Melbourne was disappointed after visiting several Kmart stores in a bid to find the sell-out item.

‘I’d desperately like to get my hands on one but they sell out quickly,’ another agreed.

Some were concerned that the hard surfaced, stone-like mat would be freezing cold on bare feet – especially in the winter months.

Others also said that their bathmat had stopped absorbing water as well after about two weeks of use.

But they were advised to simply sandpaper the surface to make the mat’s absorption work ‘like new’ again.

Some Aussies just couldn’t get their heads around stepping onto a hard, stone mat instead of a soft, fluffy fabric one – no matter how fast-drying it promised to be.

‘My sensory issues would never,’ one woman admitted.

Kmart has also re-released another hugely popular sell out product, with it’s $99 Spot Cleaner already flying off the shelves.

Fans are obsessed with it’s deep, suction cleaning that turns the water murky brown from releasing trapped dirt in filthy couches and car seats.

‘It’s so satisfying to use,’ one woman said.
