Married UFC star Sean O’Malley has been sliding into the DM’s of ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl Hailey Welch, but he won’t be in the dog house with his wife because of it.
Welch, 22, rose to prominence as the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl from a viral YouTube video posted in 2024 in which she used the phrase in reference to oral sex during a street interview.
Since then she has been signed by Jake Paul ‘s media company and has her own podcast, Talk Tuah, and a following of more than 2.5 million fans on Instagram.
In her recent podcast with comedian Grace O’Malley and internet personality Brianna LaPaglia, she revealed that O’Malley had been messaging and calling her through Instagram.
‘You said a UFC fighter, right?’ she asked Grace, who responded yes.
‘What is that fella’s name that has been messaging me all week? The O’Malley boy?’ Welch asked Grace.
‘Sean,’ she replied.
‘He has a kid don’t he?’ Welch asked.
‘What’s he DMing ya?’ Grace asked back.
‘He’s so nice, he just calls me and says ‘what are you doing?’ and I am like ah nuthin’,’ Welch said.
‘Didn’t he call you like 12,000 times before you said anything?’ A stunned Grace then asked.
‘I had like five missed calls from him and I was like what the f***,’ Welch replied.
‘On Instagram, I didn’t even know you could f***ing do that.’

O’Malley is still with his wife Danya Gonzalez, however claims they are in an open relationship which he defended as recently as September this year.
‘Marriage when it was first introduced is when peoples’ life expectancy was 21 years old,’ he said.
‘It was so f***ing low, it was rare.
‘So you were only married for a few years. Now, you have people that are married for 40, 50, 60 years.’
Their open marriage comes with a twist, though. Their relationship reportedly operates on a mutual understanding that while he can be unfaithful, Gonzalez is not allowed to stray.

The fan favourite defended their arrangement last year, saying that he deserved to be unfaithful because he paid for everything.
‘I’m a king,’ he said last year.
‘I pay for everything. I treat Danny like a queen.
‘If I get a little p*** on the side, what does that have to do with anything?
‘I have testosterone running through my veins – it’s that f***ing simple.
‘I wouldn’t say that if I was in the opposite position, if I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t successful.
‘If I was an average Joe, it probably wouldn’t be fair. But I feel like I’m f***ing King Kong.’

O’Malley has also admitted that their open relationship hasn’t always been the case, but became more of a factor when he became a superstar.
‘We listen. We listened to podcasts, learned about relationships and growing so we could figure out what relationship works for us,’ he said,
‘I’m horny all the time and it’s not just for you [Gonzalez]. It took us years to get past that but I was telling my truths.’
O’Malley rose to prominence in the UFC bantamweight division, capturing the title with a knockout win over Aljamain Sterling.
Despite his success, he has faced criticism for inconsistent performances, including challenges against top contenders.
O’Malley is expected to defend his title, with potential opponents including Merab Dvalishvili.
