A California woman has been charged with attempted murder after authorities say she hit and ran over her husband during a couple’s quarrel.
According to a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, at around 5.16pm on Monday, deputies responded to the 200 block of West Ponderosa Drive in Camarillo after getting a report about a domestic incident.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a man suffering from significant injuries.
The victim told them he was standing on the sidewalk when his wife, 21-year-old Roberta Felix, struck him with her car and then intentionally ran over his body while the two were arguing.
After talking to the victim and witnesses, and examining the evidence at the scene, investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Bureau determined that the 5-foot-4, 160-pound Felix had purposefully run over her husband, according to the release.
