Hurricane Irma has caused a lot of damage but apparently there is only one very precious item Tomas Acea cares about protecting.
Acea asked his wife, Mai-Lee Acea, if he could park his 1987 Nissan 300ZX in the house to protect it from Irma.
Her initial response was: ‘Yes, no problem, babe,’ however, he somehow had to decide how he was going to get the vintage car into the house – that was the deal.
Tomas Acea (R) asked his wife, Mai-Lee Acea (L), if he could park his 1987 Nissan 300ZX in the house to protect it from Irma
On social media Mai-Lee posted: ‘Told my husband he can park his hobby car inside the house….IF he could get it through the sliding door. #RelationshipCompromise #JokeIsOnHim #HurricaneIrma.’
She was shocked to discover that her husband had actually successfully disassembled their door: ‘I never imagined he would dismantle the sliding glass door,’ she told People.
In a video uploaded to their YouTube page you can hear Mai-Lee saying: ‘What the f*** is he doing?’
Her husband can be seen reversing it into the garage
Mai-Lee documented it all on video as she showed her husband parking the car in the living room
She can’t quite believe he managed to pull it off
‘I don’t think he realizes it doesn’t fit,’ she can be heard saying as he can be seen reversing the car.
‘What the f*** did you do to my glass door,’ she asks him later in the video. ‘They f****** took off my sliding door.’
‘It was a joke baby, you weren’t actually supposed to put it in here,’ she said while he continues to reverse the car into the living room.
His wife clearly knew she had been defeated as she then said: ‘Bad deal on my end guys, really bad deal.’
‘He’s had the project car for a few months, which he is hoping to restore,’ Mai-lee said to People.

‘He’s always had a passion for these particular cars, so this one is like his child.’
However, the stint didn’t last long. His wife gloated on Instagram that the car was safely back outside and not in the house anymore.
She posted a photo to Instagram of her sitting in the living room looking at the car outside.
It seems she was a good sport about it all as she documented his success on Snapchat
She told her husband he could park the car so long as he could figure out how to actually get it into the house – he removed the glass doors and succeeded. Pictured here is his wife showing she’s been defeated on Snapchat
