A little over one week after Willie Garson’s passing, his son continues to keep his memory alive.
On Friday, Nathen Garson, 20, shared a video of the late Sex and the City star dancing in a nightclub and remarked: ‘I’m sure your [sic] dancing and listening to the music you love on your adventure.’
The beloved actor died on September 21, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 57.

Nathen fondly recalled one outing with his late father as he shared a brief video of the duo tearing up the dance floor.
‘Missing you papa,’ his caption began. ‘Love you to the moon and back x 1,000,000,000. I’m sure your [sic] dancing and listening to the music you love on your adventure. Have a blast.’
A voice in the throwback video was heard joking ‘This is what Willie brought his son to. Good job, dad.’
In the video Garson was seen dancing and snapping his fingers while wearing his signature eyeglasses and a plaid jacket.

The actor who starred as Sarah Jessica Parker’s best friend Stanford Blatch in Sex and the City was suffering from pancreatic cancer at the time of his passing, with his obituary confirming it as the cause of death.
Prior to his death he was actively filming the HBO reboot, And Just Like That, and his co-stars publicly mourned the loss.
Nathen also paid tribute to his father as he wrote ‘I will always love you’ and called him the ‘toughest and funniest and smartest person I’ve known.’

‘Rest In Peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much,’ he began.
‘I’m so proud of you. I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own. You’ll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I’m glad you can be at peace now.
‘You always were the toughest and funniest and smartest person I’ve known. I’m glad you shared you’re [sic] love with me. I’ll never forget it or lose it.’
Willie had adopted Nathen in 2010, as he did not want to wait to get married in order to have a family.
The pair had first met in 2008 at an adoption fair in Los Angeles when Nathen was seven-years-old.

Willie had spoken about their very close bond in conversation with PEOPLE and confessed it was ‘hard’ being an empty nester, after Nathen left for college.
‘We’re pretty close. It’s hard. It’s harder for me to let go. He’s living his life, he’s at college…But we’re there for each other, and I have to not want to make every minute of his life perfect. It’s time for him to make his life,’ he said.
In their tributes, Parker, Kristen Davis, and Cynthia Nixon sent their love to Nathen, as Davi called him the actor’s ‘joy and pride’ and said that he had ‘strength and wisdom beyond his years,’ in excerpt.
And Nixon tweeted: ‘Nathen, I hope you know how much he loved you and how proud he was to be your dad.’
Parker called the death ‘unbearable’ and said she would miss ‘everything about [him]’ and that she would transcribe the last phone calls they shared and ‘re-read every text.’
