Wingsuit pilot rockets through moving target in China

A daredevil wingsuit pilot has completed a world first by flying through a moving target in China’s Tianmen Mountains.

Footage shows pilot Shupeng Zhang, 31, flying through the breathtaking scenery aiming for a target located on a moving vehicle near the base of the mountain.

The target – suspended on a pole above the vehicle – was a small foam disk, slightly larger than a dinner plate.

Mr Zhang is said to be one of China’s first wingsuit pilots, who in 2015, broke the world record of wingsuit flying without oxygen – 8,150 metres in the air.

In this latest stunt Mr Zhang jumps off a cliff and is seen rocketing through the mountains, heading for the target that’s moving just under 10mph.

He seems to effortlessly hit the target, causing confetti to burst into the sky.

Mr Zhang is then seen releasing his parachute and landing, having successfully completed the stunt.
