Wolves star Raul Jimenez could be on his way out of Molineux this summer, with reports linking him with the Turkish Super Lig.
The Mexican had been one of the stand-out performers in Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves side that finished seventh in the Premier League in 2018-19 and 2019-20 on their return to the top-flight.
However a horrific head injury sustained in a challenge with Arsenal’s David Luiz in November 2020 would put an end to his momentum as one of the underrated strikers in the Premier League.
Since the injury, he has managed just nine goals in all competitions as he recovered from the career-threatening accident, and has proven to be a shadow of the player he had shown himself capable of.
Now, though, his fortunes could be set to improve with a change of scenery, as Turkish side Adana Demirspor are eyeing a move, according to outlet Aksam Spor.

Jimenez is thought to have met with the club’s legendary Dutch manager Patrick Kluivert to learn more about the project taking place at Adana Demirspor.
The Blue Lightnings stunned fans of the Turkish top-flight by finishing fourth in the table in 2022-23 behind the predicted giants Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
As such, the Turkish outfit can offer Jimenez a place in the UEFA Conference League next term, rather than face the prospect of a repeat situation last season with Wolves in which he may fight against relegation.
It is anticipated that talks between the two parties might come to a head in the coming days, with a view to finalising a deal in good time ahead of the start of the season, as per the report.
Jimenez has been something of a liminal presence at Molineux of late, making just 15 Premier League appearances in 2022-23 – down from 34 the campaign before.
The signings of Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan of late have therefore seen his place in the hierarchy drop to the extent that he will likely be allowed to leave this summer by Julen Lopetegui.
The Mexican hitman has made 166 appearances for Wolves, scoring 57 goals and assisting another 24, having joined after the World Cup in Russia following an impressive spell with Benfica in Portugal.
