Woman, 25, has praised a serum for clearing her acne in THREE weeks – and it only costs £12.95

A woman whose acne was so ferocious she didn’t want to leave her house has revealed she saw dramatic improvements in her skin after using a miracle £12.95 serum.

Alisha Kalsi, 25, from Berkshire, developed acne when she was 15-years-old, but it almost went away in her late teens after a six-month course of medication.

Then out of the blue in 2017, it came back with much more severity than she’d ever had it before. This time it was deep cystic acne that she said ‘looked terrible and was very painful.’

But after trying several products available on the market, Alisha finally found the answer in an unlikely solution – a natural serum.

‘I got to the point when I wouldn’t even walk to the shop without covering my acne,’ explained the import consultant. ‘I cancelled plans to go out because of my skin. I let my skin define me at one point of my life and let it control me, it pushed me into a dark place as I gave up on all hope of my skin ever clearing.’

Unlike before when she was a teenager, the adult acne really affected Alisha’s confidence.

‘I stopped going out and I was constantly worried what people were thinking when they looked at my skin,’ she said.

‘Dealing with acne is a tough battle as no matter how much you try to cover your acne sometimes make-up just makes it worse.’

Recalling a particularly memorable moment, Alisha explained: ‘I especially remember a New Year party at the start of 2018 and I just felt like I looked horrible all because of my face.’

‘I tried to stay in the shadows so no one would notice me. I started to compare myself to everyone else and thought people were judging my skin.’

Because Alisha was so worried about her skin, it put a strain on her relationship with her boyfriend.

‘Every day when speaking to my boyfriend I’d bring up my skin because no matter how much reassurance I received from him, my anxiety about it was taking over my every thought,’ she said.

‘I simply couldn’t love myself and all my energy and attention fixated on my acne. I barely went out and stayed at home in my room watching films.’

And it didn’t help Alisha’s anxiety when total strangers made comments about her acne either.

‘I remember an occasion where I was left completely distraught because of a comment I received about my skin,’ she explained.

Recalling a particularly memorable day, Alisha explained: 'I was shopping with my mum and a lady followed me around the shop. She approached me telling me how bad my skin was and how I should cover it or do something about it.' Pictured, the 25-year-old covering her make-up in April 2018

She continued: ‘I managed to hold back the tears until I got into my mum’s car. Her words played in my mind for days and made me feel very insecure.’

‘But back home my mum helped me by telling me to ignore these nasty comments. She said everyone had personal battles, it’s just some are visible and some are not.’

From that moment, Alisha promised her she’d start standing up for herself and wouldn’t let anyone make her feel embarrassed.

‘It’s hard when inside you feel so insecure in yourself,’ explained Alisha. ‘I was trying endless products to try and improve my acne which was costing me a fortune, so I was financially suffering too, but all they offered me was false hope.’

But at the start of last year, Alisha found herself in a very dark place and was trying to find ways to pull myself out of it.

‘I decided to create a platform on social media to spread awareness of acne, be open about my acne, reach to others with acne and to stop hiding from the world,’ she said.

‘Doing this really helped me; it allowed me to share my experience with people all over the world. The feedback and support I get has really helped build my confidence.’

Eventually after a six month wait for an appointment to see a dermatologist, Alisha was prescribed a six-month course of isotretinoin in February 2018.

However, as soon as Alisha stopped the medication in September, her acne returned with a vengeance and she was also left with terrible pigmentation on her skin.

‘I decided that I should stop taking medication for my acne it was clearly damaging my skin,’ explained Alisha. ‘So with a heavy heart I began my search once again for something else to help.’

‘I was getting several recommendations from people interacting with me on social media and it was through one of these recommendations that I found out about Clarol products.’

After contacting the company for more information, Alisha was sent samples to try and due to the feedback from her own followers and also the positive customer reviews, she decided to try them.

Alisha's confidence has grown so much, she even went to work the other day without make-up, which is a dramatic improvement seeing as she was in a 'dark place' just last year. Pictured without make-up in January 2019

‘Aside from significantly reducing the amount of live acne I have, the products have helped fade my pigmentation,’ said Alisha.

‘I’m actually in shock how well they have worked and how quickly – it’s only been just over two months since I started using them.’

She continued: ‘Finding Clarol products has been life changing for me. I finally feel I’ve found an acne treatment that really does what it promises and that isn’t going to cause any worrying side effects to my health or permanently damage my skin.

‘To be honest it feels like I’ve come to the end of a long dark tunnel and am finally seeing the light. I went to work the other day without make up, which is nothing short of a miracle considering the state I was in this time last year.’
