A 26-year-old woman has fallen 28 stories to her death from a Manhattan high rise where her girlfriend lives.
Police do not suspect foul play in the unnamed woman’s apparent suicide at around 6.50am on Monday at the Clinton Towers in Hell’s Kitchen, at the corner of West 54th Street and 11th Avenue, the Daily News reported.
The woman died at the scene. Photos from the scene show a body covered on the sidewalk with a bare foot protruding.
Security guard Richard Ababio said the woman regularly visited the building to see her girlfriend, who lives there.

He called her ‘a very friendly, beautiful woman’.
‘I know her very well,’ Ababio, 59, told the newspaper. ‘It’s so sad. I don’t know how some people do that.’
The death shocked residents of the West Side neighborhood.
‘Omg so young,’ one wrote on Facebook. ‘Wonder who it was I know almost everyone there.’
The apartment building is part of the city’s Mitchell-Lama program, which provides affordable housing to moderate- and middle-income families.
