Woman, 27, fatally shoots her fiance’s dog during squabble

A Florida woman fatally shot a dog after her boyfriend refused to crack her back, police have reported. 

27-year-old Giselle Taylor began fighting with her in-home fiance at their Tarpon Springs, Florida, residence on Friday.

She ran out to the garage to grab her pistol out the glove box, in an effort to spook her partner. 

But failing to ‘provoke a response’ Taylor grew enraged when she failed to solicit a response from her fiance. 

‘When the defendant did not get the response she was hoping to achieve, she pointed the firearm at their dog and fired one round,’ the case affidavit details.

The bullet his the two-year-old Boxer in the chest, killing it almost immediately. 

Authorities reported that the woman fled the scene but was soon detained by police.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty towards animals.

Taylor was booked at the Pinellas County Jail and released on a $5,000 bond.
