A 31-year-old woman has claimed that she is the long-lost daughter of a late New York real estate developer who left behind a $94million fortune.

Ashley Mengoni said her father is Fred Mengoni, who died in February 2018.

According to the New York Post, the woman is claiming that she is the product of Mengoni’s 1986 marriage to Christine Foisy.

Foisy and Mengoni were married for a year.

But the claims have been denied by Mengoni’s lawyer, Charles Smalls, who also oversees his estate.

Smalls wrote in a Manhattan Supreme Court document that Mengoni told him ‘that he married Christine Foisy in 1986 after she told him that she was pregnant’, according to the Post.

‘After the child was born . . . she admitted to Fred Mengoni that he was not the father,’ Smalls added.

Fred Mengoni, a real-estate developer and bicycling enthusiast, owned at least six rental properties in Manhattan. He also owned the famous ‘White House’ in East Hampton.

The home was built in 1907 and Mengoni purchased the two-and-a-half-story Georgian home in 1989.

Mengoni’s love of cycling went beyond riding.

He donated significantly to the United States Professional Circuit and sponsored two teams, one in the United States and the other in Italy.

Mengoni also helped nurture careers from such riders as Bauer and Hincapie to Greg LeMond and Doug Shapiro.
