Woman arrested after man stabbed to death at a home in Sydney’s Eastern Beaches

A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death during an incident at a home on a quiet suburban street.

Emergency services were called to the home on Murrabin Avenue in Matraville, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, about 6:15pm on Tuesday.

A man was found critically injured and died at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics.

NSW Police said a woman was arrested nearby and is assisting with inquiries.

A woman who has lived across the road from the home her whole life told Daily Mail Australia that they have never known of ‘any problems on the street’ until Tuesday.

Images from the scene show about half a dozen officers surrounding a woman wearing ripped leggings, dirty socks and a grey hoodie.

Police officers, the K9 unit and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the incident and have established a crime scene at the home.
