A woman has been arrested for stealing a boxer’s designer bag filled with $155,000 in cash and jewelry while he fought a man at a club owned by Jay-Z.
Professional fighter Jermall Charlo, 27, was partying with his assistant and a group of women when he got into what is described as a ‘physical altercation’ with someone at 3am on Sunday at the 40/40 club in Manhattan.
Sarah Morin, a nurse from Connecticut, is accused of making off with the Louis Vuitton bag, during the ensuring melee.

She is alleged to have taken the bag and ran out of the nightclub. The bag was returned with the jewelry but minus the cash
According to her attorney Gerard Marrone, as the fists began to fly, a bouncer handed his client the bag as she ran away from the fight, the New York Daily News reported.
It had been through several people’s hands before it ended up in Morin’s possession and she contacted the bouncer an hour after leaving the club offering to hand the bag back, said Marrone.
Morin surrendered with Marrone after police released security footage of a group of women leaving the nightclub and tracked her down.
Marrone said the charges against his client were ‘b******t adding: ‘She’s a good girl. She’s never been in trouble.’
Jermall Charlo, 27, from Richmond, Texas, had his bag stolen from Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in Manhattan
‘One of the bouncers handed the bag to her and she ran for her life. She was the last one that held the bag and that’s why she was arrested.’
According to police sources, Morin returned the bag with the stolen jewelry but not the cash when she turned herself in.
It is not clear why the fighter was carrying such a huge amount of cash, though the altercation happened hours after he appeared at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for a bout.
His fight got cancelled due an opponent’s injured rib, therefore he could have received a cash payout as part of his contract.

The boxer, who holds an impressive 26-0 record in the ring, didn’t realize his bag was gone until he sat back down after the brawl in the early hours, the New York Post reported.
All five women said to be involved were captured on CCTV leaving the club.
One of the women, thought to be the nurse, was seen getting into a car with Massachusetts plates, it has been claimed.
Although there is a dispute over the exact version of events, Charlo is still out of pocket to the tune of around $155,000 and police are investigating.
Charlo, from Richmond, Texas, has an identical twin brother called Jermell.
Jermell has held the WBC light middleweight title since 2016.
