A man wearing a wedding ring purportedly flirting with a woman on a flight to New York City has garnered widespread interest online.
Caroline Rened, recorded the unidentified man cozying up to a woman on a United Airlines flight from Houston, Texas, in now-viral footage – and inadvertently triggered the attention of millions online.
In her caption, Rened explained the man was sitting next to a woman she believed to be named ‘Katy’ who she had met him at an airport bar before the pair boarded the plane.
‘If this is your husband flying United Airlines, Flight 2140, from Houston to New York, he’s probably going to be staying with Katy tonight. Him and Katy met at the airport bar and haven’t left each others side since then,’ the fellow passenger said.
Video of the interaction shows the man, dressed in tan shorts, a green t-shirt and baseball hat, chatting with the woman in a row behind Rened as passengers board the aircraft.

At one point, the married man is seen with his shirt pulled up halfway as he turns to the aisle, before continuing his conversation with the woman.
The pair are seen in footage continuing to talk throughout the flight with the man appearing very animated during their conversation.
Rened said she managed to gather the man is from Fort Worth, Texas, and is a parent.
‘He convinced her to change her seat so she could sit next to him and they could drink,’ Rened said.
‘I don’t know his name but know hers because he keeps saying it.’
The passenger added that she heard the man say he was a surfer and that he was ‘supposedly’ president of the company he works for. She mentioned that he also said that he was going to New York on a business trip.
‘I wouldn’t have known he was married if he hadn’t been wearing his wedding ring. Excuse me rubbing my eye, I didn’t know what else to do to self record,’ Rened continued.

Many of the viewers who rushed to share their opinions about the awkward observation supported Rened’s decision to post the clip online.
