Sydney Bean was left furious after appearing as a guest on The Kyle and Jackie O Show Monday morning to talk about her medical condition.
The 24-year-old from Idaho was born with a microperforate hymen which covered the entirety of her vaginal opening and needed to be surgically removed.
When radio shock jocks Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson caught wind of it, Sydney claimed on TikTok they ‘pressured’ her into an ‘explicit’ interview.
‘I did feel pressured into sharing more than I would have liked to. There’s an overwhelming pressure to be explicit on the show,’ she said on Tuesday.
‘I shared more than I would like to. But overall I feel as though I was a voice to educate and it had a positive impact.’

It was ultimately the reason Sydney agreed to go on the popular KIIS FM breakfast show, she said, to ‘educate’ people on her condition.
Sydney told Kyle, 52, and Jackie O, 48, she first discovered the peculiar state of her hymen when she attempted to use a tampon.
‘It’s not as obvious as one might expect especially when you’re a baby,’ she told the hosts and their listeners.

She went on to say she underwent a hymenectomy, a surgical procedure to open or remove the hymen, when she was just 17.
‘It was extremely painful. It took me about a week to recover,’ she explained.
Kyle then asked Sydney about her love life, adding: ‘When you found love later on in life, have they commented on it?’

‘They wouldn’t notice unless I say something but I always say something. I bring it up on the first date… It’s a funny story and I like to be very upfront about my body,’ she said.
‘I am intersex and there are other things about my body that are not male or female.’
Sydney said she has a heightened levels of androgens, which are usually thought of as male hormones, even though small amounts are also produced in the female body.
Intersex is an umbrella term used to describe a person who is born with genitals, chromosomes, or reproductive organs that don’t fit into a male/female sex binary.
