An Ohio woman claims that she found a peephole in her old roommate’s bedroom — which looked directly into the bathroom with a full view of the shower.
Ry, who goes by @xx.ryry on TikTok, shared her shocked reaction to finding the hole shortly after her ex-roommate, Jacob, moved out.
‘This is Jacob’s room. He just moved all of his stuff out. I’m having a panic attack. That is our shower,’ she said, zooming in on a hole that runs clear through the wall.
Ry’s video has gone viral, horrifying viewers who are convinced that the ex-roommate was a pervert and that Ry should call the police.
But other commenters are less convinced that there was anything creepy happening, pointing out that there are other holes in the wall and it looks like Jacob may have just made a mistake while hanging something.
Ry claims she found a single small ‘peephole’ going from a bedroom into the bathroom
The room belonged to her boyfriend’s friend, who just moved out of the house
Ry appears to have just discovered the whole when her first TikTok video begins, as she emphatically says: ‘That’s so weird.’
She then flips the camera around, asking her boyfriend — who also lives in the house — to get out of the way, revealing several holes in the wall.
But one of the holes goes clear through to the other side — which is where the bathroom is.
Ry moves her camera up close to the hole, showing how it’s possible to see the shower on the other side.
Her boyfriend then goes into the bathroom, proving that it’s possible to see someone bathing through the hole.
Ry gave more details in the comments, explaining why they hadn’t noticed the hole before.

‘I know a lot of people are saying it’s impossible to see through the hole, but I was shocked to see a complete view of the shower when I looked through,’ she said
‘The singular hole that goes all the way through was perfectly hidden under a corner shelf, no I didn’t see it,’ she said.
She also noted that she no longer lives in the house either, because ‘it was an unsafe environment.’
The video has racked up over a million views in just two days, and commenters have had mixed reactions.
Many are upset on Ry’s behalf, sure that the ex-roommate was, indeed, spying on her.
‘File a police reporter [for real] that’s not OK,’ wrote one, while another commented: ‘Oh hell no that was intentional.’
Some suggested that Jacob may have put a camera in the hole, and warned her that he may have recordings.

However, some aren’t so sure that the Jacob was spying, and think this all might just be a misunderstanding.
‘Okay only saying this, possibly he had shelves or something drilled into the wall before he moved?’ wrote one.
‘Well there’s like multiple holes so what was he hanging there,’ wrote another, while a third concurred: ‘Looks like he had something hanging over the wall to cover it.’
‘Honestly I think it’s a big misunderstanding,’ wrote one more. ‘It looks like the TV was mounted there and probably drilled one spot too far.’
Another pointed out that if the hole was, in fact, drilled for spying, Jacob would likely have covered it up to hide what he did before he moved out.
Ry has responded to comments and posted a followup video in which she remains convinced Jacob used it as a peephole.

Ry explained that there had been a TV on the wall, but it was on a swivel mount that could move, allowing access for someone to spy.
‘There was definitely something in front of it, blocking it,’ she said.
‘I don’t want to assume the worst but after seeing so many people say that it looks like a pinhole camera was placed there, I just can’t get that out of my head and it makes my skin crawl,’ she said.
‘I think it really exposes a common theme with most men, how they believe women are just objects for viewing pleasure that owe them warmth, sweetness, and, love, and if you treat them neutrally and [if you] have strong boundaries, you’re an evil witch.’
Ry also noted that her boyfriend confronted Jacob after they found the hole, but Jacob insisted it was an accident.
‘He said that it was just a missed stud or whatever, but again, I don’t know why he wouldn’t cover that up,’ she said.
