Woman discovers ‘unbelievable’ note left on her car windscreen by angry neighbours who say they are ‘fed up’ with her parking

A woman has discovered an ‘unbelievable’ note which was left on her car windscreen by angry neighbours who said they were ‘fed up’ with her parking.

Lauren Ball received the note stuck under her windscreen wiper on Thursday last week after parking her car on Becker Close in Denton, Greater Manchester.

The note read: ‘We are getting fed up of you thinking you can park where you want! You don’t live on Becker Close at all.

‘You live on the front, you don’t park on here. You need to use your car park. You use other people’s parking space when they need them.’

Ms Ball has to park her car on a side road near her home as there are double yellow lines outside her home, she explained and added: ‘What’s frustrating is I’m always really considerate of other people.

‘I found the quietest road around me, I don’t park in anyone’s space, in front of anyone’s house or in anyone’s way, I also pay my tax.

‘The person has clearly been watching me, so if they had approached me instead of writing anonymous note they would understand this.’

She posted a picture of the note to the Denton and Haughton Green Community Group, where she received hundreds of responses, with some even telling her the had the same thing happen to them.

Ms Ball said: ‘Since it was put in the Denton and community chat it’s come to my attention that I am not the first person that has had this note. A lady who lives on that street had her friend over and he also received the note.’

One of the comments read: ‘Unbelievable!! You pay your car tax you can park where you want as long as your not blocking anywhere,’ as another user wrote: ‘It’s amazing how many people don’t have the slightest clue about parking rights outside their homes.’
