The discovery of a young pregnant woman’s body in a house has sparked a full-scale investigation.
Police sealed off the mid-terraced house and posted a scene guard as specialist forensic science officers were called in to determine how the woman – said to be five months pregnant – died.
Officers described the death as ‘unexplained’ but confirmed that they had sealed off the property in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to enable a team of experts to discover whether the woman had died as a result of an attacked.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said ‘We are currently at the scene of an unexplained death in Newport Road, Milton Keynes.
‘Police officers were called to reports that a woman had died at the property at about 2.40pm yesterday. A scene watch is in place at the address and is likely to remain in place today.
‘If anyone has any information about the incident please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police inquiry centre on 101.’
