Woman humiliated by a tinder date because of her weight undergoes stunning transformation

A woman who weighed 170kg and was humiliated by a cruel Tinder date who told her to ‘eat a salad’ has shed over 84kg and six dress sizes in a stunning transformation.

Hannah Bean, 23, excitedly sat in a café in her hometown of Perth, waiting to meet a man for the first time after the pair had matched on the online dating app Tinder.

The young woman, who at her heaviest weighed 170kg (26st 10lbs) and wore a size 26, said she had been speaking to him regularly via video chat, telephone calls and text messages for three months before they finally decided to meet in person.

Being her very first Tinder date, Hannah said she was a ‘bundle of nerves’ but extremely excited to meet the mystery man – but was horrified after learning her date had seen her and done a runner.

Instead, Hannah received a shocking cruel text from him that read ‘I walked in and you look nothing like your photos. Do yourself a favour, eat a salad and lose some weight’.

Feeling crushed, Hannah said she stayed off Tinder for a long time and instead began focusing on her own journey of self-love, mental wellness and weight loss – and has since undergone a stunning transformation.

She’s now lost an incredible 84kg (13st 3lbs) and dropped six dress sizes, and now feels happier and more confident than ever flaunting her brand new 86kg [13st 7lbs], size 12-14 physique – and has even started dating again.

Hannah, who plans to study paramedic science, said: ‘I’d been talking to this guy for three months before we decided to meet up.

‘I felt like we’d really gotten to know each other, and we had sent pictures of ourselves, video chatted, talked on the phone and text each other almost daily.

‘Although I was self-conscious of my weight, he knew exactly what I looked like, so I felt okay meeting up with him for the first time.

‘He picked a place and I was sitting there waiting for him. I was excited.

‘But then I got a text saying that he walked in and saw me already. He told me I looked nothing like my pictures and that I needed to eat a salad and lose some weight.

‘I was so ashamed and embarrassed. I started crying right there in the café.

‘I never heard from him again. It was horrible and I stayed off Tinder for a long time after that.’

Brave Hannah said she had ‘always been overweight’ ever since she was a child and was bullied throughout her entire schooling career due to her size.

At her heaviest, the young woman said she was addicted to soft drink and guzzled up to six litres of lemonade a day – while also downing entire packets of crisps and sweets.

She said: ‘Up until now, I don’t think I’ve ever been a healthy weight in my entire life.

‘I was always overweight as a child and so much bigger than all the other kids my age.

‘Puberty happened and I started putting on more weight very quickly.

‘I got bullied a lot for my weight a lot, especially in high school. It was so hard.

‘After my stepdad passed away when I was 15, I rapidly piled on weight and reached 110kg.

‘My mum and I were sad about the loss. I started to comfort eat a lot and it continued into a toxic spiral.’

In her late teens, Hannah’s poor eating habits caught up to her – with doctors warning she would not live another two years if she continued to gain weight.

Faced with this harsh reality, Hannah knew she had to make a real change and in 2016 she completely overhauled her diet and began working out regularly at the gym.

Hannah said: ‘I was having a lot of health problems. I had high blood pressure and was pre-diabetic.

‘My doctor told me that my heart was going to give up and that I would be dead in two years if I kept going the way I was.

‘I hated the body that I was in. It was a massive turning point for me.

‘I used to drink four to six litres of lemonade a day. I was addicted. Now I can’t even drink a sip without feeling sick, it’s just too sugary.

‘Lollies and chips were a big thing for me. I’d buy a packet or two of each a day and go through them in five minutes.
