A New South Wales woman has been arrested after allegedly attempting to smuggle 2.52kg of methylamphetamine into Australia.
The 40-year-old, who hails from Kingsford in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, was to receive the drug haul hidden that inside a vase. It was sent from the United States.
The street value of the package is believed to be nearly $2 million, and was soon seized by the Australian Border Force.

The woman was arrested on Tuesday and taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with ‘importing a commercial quantity’ of ice.
Strike Force Twickenham, a NSW Police-assembled squad that investigates drug smugglers, arrived at her Kingsford home at 11.30am on Wednesday.
In their search, the strike force also uncovered $300,000 in cash hidden on the premises.
The woman has not been granted bail.
