A woman has been accused of running a BDSM cult that targets black curvy gay women on TikTok – several of whom have now spoken out about the abusive treatment they were subjected to by the group’s leader, accusing her of forcing them to cut themselves and pull out their own hair to prove their loyalty.
Angela Vandusen, who goes by @AngelaTheeG0ddess on TikTok, started a group called ‘Daddy’s Girls’ in the winter of 2020. At first, it seemed like a safe space for bigger women to connect, but – according to several of its members – it quickly turned into something worse.
According to Rolling Stone, the 27-year-old, who is based in Michigan, originally gained attention online by posting videos of herself dancing and lip-synching provocatively. She was also known for sharing her weight-loss journey and being open about her love of BBWs – big beautiful women, particularly women of color.
She had gained around 50,000 followers, when she started doing weekly livestreams (and charging $50 for them). During one of them, someone called her ‘Daddy.’
Members of the group who spoke to Rolling Stone revealed that the name stuck, claiming that Angela asked all of her supporters to begin calling her ‘Daddy’ while referring to themselves as ‘Daddy’s Girls.’ They said she also told them to add yellow hearts to their TikTok bios in order to show that they were part of the group.

Originally, the women all connected while seeking out other black curvy gay women.
One former member, who asked to remain anonymous, told Rolling Stone, ‘We don’t fit the society’s standards of what a body is supposed to look like. It was safe to be around other women – we all looked the same, had the same problems, had the same struggles.
‘A lot of girls joined based off the same aspect that we could talk about things and we could all relate to each other.’
A single stay-at-home mom-of-two named Chae also told the outlet that at first, it felt like a ‘sisterhood.’ Over time, however, the livestreams got more and more sexual.
A third former member, named Jasmine, explained to Rolling Stone that Angela would make thousands of dollars during them. Viewers and fans would send her money, and she said, ‘That’s when I realized she’s leading these girls on and making them fall in love with her.’
Angela also started to make rules for her followers. Jasmine explained that one time, she started a livestream on her own TikTok page. And right away, another Daddy’s Girl member messaged her and told her to stop.
‘I asked, “Why?” And they said, “You have to ask to be on live, or else we’ll get in trouble,”‘ she recalled.
Chae also claimed that she wasn’t allowed to post any videos if they weren’t about Angela. She said she was also told she had to attend and comment on all of Angela’s livestreams and posts. Other members even claimed that they were required to pray to Angela every morning and night.

Chae showed Rolling Stone a series of text messages from the TikTok star, where she said she was going to ‘punish’ her for not answering her phone.
‘You will be punished for this bulls**t. Stupid f**king b***h. You don’t do jack f**king s**t, just lazy for no f**king reason,’ the messages read.
A TikTok user posting under the name @auntkaren0 – who is not thought to have ever been part of the group – also shared a screenshot of what she claimed were text messages sent by Angela to a Daddy’s Girls member encouraging her to ‘cut deeper’ and to ‘pull 20 strings of hair’ out of her head.
‘Let’s see [if] you can cut deeper? Wins my heart,’ the alleged text messages from Angela read, to which the unnamed member responded: ‘Daddy I thought I already had.’
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Chae made similar allegations, claiming that Angela instructed members to cut themselves or ‘pull their dreads out’ if they did something that she felt was ‘disrespectful.’ And when they were done, Chae claims she asked the girls to show her proof of the scars.
‘She’d tell us where to make the cuts, which area,’ Chae said.
However, a different former member, who asked not to be identified by name, denied that Angela ever directly told the girls to hurt themselves. She claimed that Chae wanted to self-mutilate because it ‘turned [her] on.’
Chae said that over time, Angela’s actions made her ‘start to hate herself,’ and she even considered checking herself into a mental hospital.
‘I started to hate myself. Because I kept having to do stuff to myself. And I used to think to myself, like, is she doing stuff to make me harm myself? So other people don’t want me? I didn’t know what it was,’ she explained.
But the turning point for her was when she finally met Angela in person. Chae said they got into an altercation, and Angela allegedly slapped her and grabbed her face. Angela’s former partner denied these claims, and called her allegations ‘bulls**t.’
In the end, Chae said that she ‘really did love’ Angela, and explained that being overweight made her especially vulnerable to her tricks.

‘A lot of the bigger women, we have an issue with thinking we’re not going to find anybody because we are bigger,’ she added.
‘So it’s like when you do find somebody that wants you, you tend to try to make that work, because sometimes you may think that you might not find nobody else ever or for a while that genuinely likes you.’

She was never a member of the group, but she explained that after speaking to former members directly, she wanted to warn others about it.
Now, there is a Change.org petition making its way around the internet in an attempt to get Angela arrested and de-platformed. It has received more than 22,000 signatures.
On the page, its creator – who goes only by the username Midnight Mania – reiterates the allegations made by several of the group’s former members, claiming that ‘insecure plus-sized black women’ were ‘encouraged… to cut themselves, send [Angela] their pay checks and pray to her like a God’.
Midnight Mania also accused Angela of ‘psychological manipulation’, claiming that she ‘destroys [members’] self worth through ‘sociopathic abuse’.
