A 54-year-old woman has reportedly been arrested for trespassing outside of Taylor Swift’s sprawling home in Rhode Island – where the popstar is said to have enjoyed a brief break over the holiday weekend amid her ongoing Eras Tour.
Images obtained by TMZ show the woman in question – who is understood to have been identified as Kimberly Meyer in court documents – being handcuffed by police officers on Monday, July 3, outside the gates of the property, next to multiple signs that read ‘no trespassing’.
According to the outlet, Meyer was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count of trespassing after ‘refusing to leave’ when she was ‘told to by Taylor’s private security’.
‘A source familiar with the situation’ told TMZ that Taylor, 33, was staying at the home for July 4th weekend, however it’s unclear whether she was in the property at the time of the arrest.

Taylor, 33, bought the 11,000-square-foot Rhode Island mansion for $17.75 million in 2013.
DailyMail.com has contacted Taylor’s spokesperson for comment.
It has been reported that Meyer has been released from custody but is due to appear back in court on July 14.
Taylor bought the 11,000-square-foot Watch Hill, Rhode Island, mansion for $17.75 million in 2013.
This latest incident comes just weeks after an alleged ‘stalker’ was arrested after going to Taylor’s Nashville home on May 31, having already sent threatening messages to the singer’s management.
Mitchell Taebel, 36, from Long Beach, Indiana, was accused of sending pictures of weapons to members of Swift’s team on March 25 and threatening to ‘destroy them’, according to local television station WGN.
Five days later, Taebel allegedly left her father a message which said he is her ‘soulmate’ and ‘he is the only one that can make her secure’.
On the day of the artist’s Eras Tour performance in Nashville on May 5, he traveled to the city and snuck into her apartment and quickly left before the police arrived, according to court documents.
After showing up to her house again on May 31, he was arrested days later, and charged with stalking by threatening serious injury or death, intimidation, invasion of privacy and harassment.
Several other men have also been arrested for stalking the popstar and trespassing onto her many properties in recent years.
One man, named Joshua Christian, was arrested in July 2022 after he ‘turned up at the star’s Manhattan apartment’ and ‘made threats to harm her if she did not answer his call.’
She also faced a scare in August 2021, when a guy named Patrick Nissen was taken into custody after he entered into her New York City building.
He was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, and Taylor was reportedly not home at the time of the incident.
Police said the man had photos of the singer on his Instagram account and claimed to be ‘in love’ with her.
