A woman has died after her car slammed into a tree in regional Victoria, with a young boy in the passenger seat miraculously surviving the horror crash.
The woman was driving south along Mount Zero Road in Halls Gap, 250km north-west of Melbourne, when her vehicle veered of the road about 4.30pm on Saturday.
She tragically died at the scene, while the boy was was flown to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police did not confirm whether the boy was the woman’s son.
It comes just hours after a separate incident where a woman was killed in a head-on collision in Melbourne’s southeast.
Two cars collided on O’Shea Road in Berwick around 10.15am on Saturday, with the female driver of one cars declared dead at the scene.
The male driver, female passenger, a young boy and a baby boy in the second vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two children were reported to be in a stable but serious condition at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Both adults remain in a stable condition at The Alfred hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner.
