Woman looking for a sperm donor turns to Facebook for help

A woman’s online search for a sperm donor has been mocked by critics who claimed the detailed advert sounds similar to a Tinder bio.

The Sunshine Coast woman anonymously posted the advert on a Facebook community board on Sunday and quickly garnered an array of responses.

‘MALES I NEED YOUR HELP! I’m looking for a sperm donor. I know this is a long shot but I don’t seem to be having much luck on the sites I’m on,’ she began.

The woman said she was looking for a donor who lived in the surrounding areas who is ‘between the age of 20-40, has fit/athletic build, is tanned with green or blue eyes and a fun and happy personality.’

She included her email address for those who are interested to contact her on.

‘If you’re possibly willing to help a girl out please email me and we can chat from there. All appropriate paperwork will be signed when the right donor is found. And your privacy is just as important as mine,’ she ended the post.

Commenters pointed out that the woman’s ad sounded similar to a dating profile.

‘Someone please explain how ‘fit/athletic build, tanned, green or blue eyes, with a fun and happy personality’ became appropriate criteria for a sperm donor?’

‘Sounds like your ad should be on Tinder.’

Speaking with the Sunshine Coast Daily , the woman said the number of sperm donors across the country has decreased, making her search over the past month much more difficult

Speaking with the Sunshine Coast Daily, the woman said the number of sperm donors across the country has decreased, making her search over the past month much more difficult.

‘I have wanted kids since I was a kid and I have wanted them really badly for the last few years and have persisted with trying to find Mr Right,’ she said.

‘But I haven’t had any luck and to be honest I’m over waiting.

‘I put the post up as there may be guys who are willing to help but they may not know how or where to go.’

The woman said she has received a handful of responses from the Facebook advert, but wants to get to know the potential donors better first before she decides.
