Anderson and Marshall reportedly got into a fight at Browning’s home near Covington on Thursday before bystanders intervened.

Witnesses said Marshall was walking home when Anderson got into his Toyota pickup truck and sped after him, fatally striking him with the car.

The victim’s mother, Robbie Marshall, says her son, who had the mental capacity of a 13-year-old, wouldn’t have done anything to provoke Anderson.

‘He wasn’t doing anything. He wasn’t doing nothing,’ she told WSB-TV.

‘He was such a sweet boy. He wouldn’t harm nobody. This man got in his truck and he ran over my son and he killed him.’

Joyce Canup, who saw the collision, said: ‘I bet [Anderson] was going 100[mph]. He hit the guy, and when he hit him, he flew up over the truck.’

Browning’s sister witnessed the preceding altercation and said Anderson thought Marshall disrespected him.

‘And then the next thing I know, I heard a boom, and I thought he wrecked his truck,’ the sister said. ‘When I got down there, that kid was laying on the ground.’

She added: ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t make them stop fighting. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect him from being hurt.’

Newton County deputies said Browning likely left with Anderson willingly. Her family have insisted that she didn’t know about the hit-and-run.

Anderson faces charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle and hit-and-run.

The suspect was last seen driving a gray 2001 Tacoma with significant front-end damage and Georgia license plate DGF633.

Police warned the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Addressing the man accused of killing her son, Robbie Marshall said: ‘Turn yourself in. If you weren’t guilty, why did you run?’

‘I want him to be punished for what he’s done to my son,’ she added. ‘Because to me, that is premeditated murder.’
