A woman trapped in a sexless marriage has revealed how dying her hair blue led her to a string of new lovers – and gave her the confidence to walk out on her husband.
Katie Say, 31, from Barton-upon-Humber, had endured a three year sex drought with her 51-year old unnamed husband, but that changed when she changed her hair colour to give herself a surge of confidence.
The care assistant started using a dating website for married people and as a result had flings with three men all whom agreed to meet her due to her unusual locks.
She credits the bold move of dying her hair with giving the confidence to end her 12 year marriage to her husband, saying: ‘The new hair has been great for attracting new men after all those years without passion.’

Katie believes her dye job makes her stand out from other women on dating websites, saying: ‘My hair certainly gets me noticed and encourages men to click under my name.
‘They think I will be fun and they are not wrong on that score.
Excited by her decision, she even joked: ‘You could say I was dying for sex!’
‘It has certainly done the trick because I am having a great time now meeting lots of guys. My sex life is as blue as my hair.’

She admitted: ‘My husband was not happy when I said it was over but I am only 31 and didn’t want to spend the rest of my life not having sex.’
Katie said she has no regrets about walking out on her marriage, revealing: ‘I realised that there was more to life than being in a sexless marriage and I am a lot happier now I am dating again.
‘My problem is that I am 20 years younger than my husband and we have different needs when it comes to sex.’
She explained: ‘When we first got together I was only 19 and things were exciting and the sex was great.

‘Over time the sex died out but I stayed with him, kidding myself that I was happy.
‘Eventually after three years without any passion I realised that there was something missing from my life and I could not put up with it any longer.’
After dying her hair, Katie enrolled with extra-marital dating website IllicitEncounters.com because she wanted to meet a man who was also married – and wouldn’t want to upset her situation at home.
Katie says she initially tried Tinder but found it didn’t suit her because she felt the men were ‘ just interested in sex’, and she was looking for a date who would ‘wine and dine her and treat her like a lady’.

She said: ‘Some people may think it is immoral to use a cheating site but it suited me because you are both in the same boat.
‘Anyone on a site like that has made a conscious decision to be unfaithful and I felt better about the fact that I was not ending anyone’s marriage.’
‘My first affair was with a man in his 40s from Leeds. He moaned that his wife was not fulfilling his needs. We chatted and there seemed to be a spark, so we agreed to meet at a hotel.
‘We had sex three times and it was amazing. I could not feel my legs by the end of day!’
Katie believes her bright blue hair helps her to ‘stand out’ to potential lovers on dating sites, and that men think she’ll be fun’
She explained: ‘It felt wonderful to be wanted again and feel a man’s touch on my body. He was an incredible lover and we have met several times since and the sex has always been great. I don’t doubt that he is seeing other women as well and I am fine with that.’
‘My second affair was with a mature university student from Bradford who was in his late 30s and married with three children. His wife was very mistrustful of him and they had trackers on their phones so they could monitor each other’s movements and he needed to be discreet.’
She went on: ‘We had sex at his house although it was slightly spoiled by the fact that he was always checking his phone and I was worried that his wife would burst in at any point. He wasn’t as good a lover as the first Asian man but the sex was still very good. I have a high sex drive.’
‘My third affair was with a man who had recently split with his wife because he had been cheating. He had a high sex drive and he really brought out my kinky side.’
Katie explained: ‘I like dating on extra-marital sites. Married men tend to be a little more gentlemanly and know how to treat a woman. Tinder is more like jungle – lots of randy men looking to mate. There is none of the romance you want from dating.’
