Woman reveals she forced her boyfriend to give up his shirt to protect her $200 suitcase

A woman has sparked a massive debate online after she revealed she forced her boyfriend to give up his shirt at the airport to protect her $200 suitcase.

The passenger, named Jen, was flying home to San Diego, California, after enjoying a vacation in Mexico with her boyfriend last month, when she was told by AeroMexico that she’d have to check her brand new BEIS Travel luggage because their wasn’t enough room in the overhead bin.

Worried that it might get damaged, Jen then made her boyfriend sacrifice his top so that she could wrap it around the pricey suitcase and ensure it would be safe.

She opened up about the incident on TikTok and it quickly went viral – and it launched a huge argument between viewers, some of whom branded her idea as ‘genius’ and others who thought it was over the top.

‘It’s literally a suitcase,’ one person wrote.

‘So what? People like to keep their expensive things nice. God forbid,’ someone else fired back.

‘Why buy a bag that you’re afraid to send through the airport?’ asked another viewer.

A different user agreed, adding: ‘WTF is the point of buying luggage to cry when it gets use?’
