A woman revealed she was sex trafficked at 15 years old after being left homeless when she aged out of foster care – and claimed her pimp blackmailed her with the safety of her own child.
Nissi Hamilton, from Texas, grew up in the foster care system, but said she found herself with no where to live after turning 15.
While living on the street, Nissi – who had a young child at the time – ran into a former friend who offered to help her get a job as a waitress at a strip club.
The friend said her boyfriend would watch her baby while she worked – however, he then refused to give the child back unless she gave him $200 a day.

‘I remember running into a home girl who told me, “Hey, you know, I have a solution for your problem. I work as a waitress at a strip club, you can use my I.D. to work at another strip club while I work at this strip club and all you’re doing is waitressing. You make money. My boyfriend will [watch] your baby and you’ll be good,”‘ she recalled during a recent interview with Real Women/Real Stories.
‘As her boyfriend’s [watching] my baby he goes, “You can’t get your kid back unless you make me $200 a day.”‘
The man then began forcing her to have sex with other men for money, while telling her that he was her boyfriend.
She claimed the man ‘groomed’ her ‘physically and psychologically’ leaving her unsure how to ‘master adulthood.’
‘In my mind, I thought I was his girlfriend at 16 years old and he was 28 years old,’ she said in a previous interview with MEAWW.
‘To me, this was my world and in this world, this is the best that life has to offer me.
‘I was a prime real estate to my abuser. I was the perfect victim.
‘I was groomed physically and psychologically on how to master adulthood without consequences because I had a big daddy. I was extremely co-dependent.’

‘My pimp told me what I could and could not do,’ she recalled.
By the time Nissi was 19, she said she had already slept with ‘about 1,500 men.’ But then, she was approached by a navy recruiter – who ultimately saved her life.
She told Real Women/Real Stories, ‘I made a decision to enlist into the Navy without my pimp knowing about it. When he found out, I got beat.’
At one point, a police officer caught Nissi prostituting and almost arrested her.
‘I remember begging the officer, “Please don’t arrest me. Please don’t arrest me,”‘ she said.
‘I said, “I’m leaving to the Navy. This is the only chance. This is the only chance I got to get away. I need you to help me.” He looked at me and he said, “I believe you.”
‘But had I been arrested that night, I wouldn’t have survived human trafficking.’
After her time in the Navy, Nissi was ready to start a new life. The military gave her a $20,000 bonus – which she used to find an apartment, buy herself a car, and escape.

Now, Nissi works as a sexual abuse counselor and is the CEO of a company called A Survivor’s Voice of Victory
‘I came home from the military. I had been heavily equipped with ideas, thoughts about my future, and dreams of being free,’ she explained to MEAWW.
‘When you stand back and look at your life and realize that you have been living a lie, you have been performing and your pimp is your taskmaster, not your lover, then you will get a peace that passes all understanding.
‘You will either take that peace and break out or you will take that peace and say it is a sign from God the reason why you should stay.
‘You can’t be in your feelings when you are trying to escape, because when you are in your feelings your discernment is impaired.
‘There is strength in knowing what you think about you because it’s not what people say about you that’s going to get through this. It’s what you say about yourself that will help you get through.’
