A finance worker has revealed how she shed over half a stone in just 20 days – after piling on the pounds over the festive period.
Kerry Lyons, 27, from Surrey, shared jaw-dropping side-by-side photographs on Instagram revealing how she has already shifted her post-Christmas weight.
The fitness fanatic got back into shape by doing HIIT (high-intensity interval training) based exercises five times a week, as well as cutting out all chocolate and junk food.
Kerry explained how she had become unhappy after putting on 8 lbs by binge-eating over Christmas and doing minimal exercise.

Kerry, who posts on Instagram under the username kerry1ons, said that despite managing to lose two stone last year by altering her diet and hitting the gym, she let her health regime slip over Christmas.
‘I have made this mistake many times because it’s so easily done and you can undo all your hard work over Christmas that you’ve spent doing in the year,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘When the first of January came I was so annoyed at myself that I’d done this that I set a mission for myself.
‘I decided that by the end of January I would have shifted this weight I gained.’

Kerry – who weighed 10 stone 10 lbs before her 20-day transformation – said she decided that she needed to act quickly in order to avoid gaining any more weight.
‘I set a plan in place. I wrote down each week what I wanted to achieve and how I was going to achieve it,’ she explained.
‘To achieve quick results you need to work as hard as possible to get the weight shifting.’
The budding personal trainer explained how she managed to shed the extra weight by using fitness star Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Guide app at home, which focuses on HIIT- based exercises.

Describing the benefits of the app, Kerry said: ‘It’s absolutely amazing. It basically sets out and organises your weeks exercises for you.
‘If anyone is new to exercise or the gym it’s a perfect way to start as it’s so easy to follow.’
She also made sure to eat healthily, explaining: ‘I said goodbye to the chocolate and the junk food.
‘It’s okay now and then but if you really want to shift that Christmas weight you have to put it away in the cupboard until it’s gone.’
