A champion synchronised swimmer has shown off her effortless underwater dance skills on TikTok wearing a pair of stiletto heels and fishnet tights.

Kristina Makushenko, 26, from Moscow, competed internationally in synchronised swimming with the Russian National team, and won two gold medals in the European Junior Championships in 2011.

She has since retired from competitive artistic swimming but has become an online sensation due to her amazing underwater dance routines, gaining over a million followers on TikTok.

In one viral video with over five million views, Kristina pulls off her impressive moves dancing underwater to Michael Bublé’s Feeling Good in high heels and fishnet tights.

The Miami-based influencer puts on an incredible display of flexibility, pulling off the splits while standing and upside-down in a pair of stilettos.

Her mesmerising routine begins in a pose on the bottom of the swimming pool and then she smoothly transitions her body into a series of incredible shapes with quick-changing movements to the music.

Kristina twirls herself around doing backflips under the water then grabs her leg and  pauses in an upside-down horizontal splits.

A fellow former synchronised swimmer wrote: ‘All my respect to you. I used to do sychronized swimming in high-school, and what you just did was mind-blowing!!’

While one TikTok user joked: ‘If anyone ever sees me in the water moving like that, just know that I’m drowning and I need help.’

Kristina started competing in artistic swimming at age nine, and now lives in Florida where works as a synchronised swimming coach and social media influencer.
