A city Law Department spokeswoman said they are reviewing the complaint, according to the NY Daily News.

Between 2011 and 2015, 31 people were injured by falling trees or branches in the park.

‘She was just walking by and all of a sudden, she heard a crack and a branch fell down on top of her,’ Frumin’s attorney, Nicholas Dell’Anno, told the NY Post.

‘And it pinned her down,’ he said, adding she was rescued by paramedics.

Frumin is suing for an unspecified sum, blaming the city and the conservancy for ‘failing to maintain the subject tree in a reasonably safe condition.’

In 2013, Google engineer Sasha Blair-Goldensohn won a $11.5 million settlement after a falling branch partially severed his spine.
