Woman survives miraculous car accident on the Gold Coast with only injuries

‘I can’t remember much after that’: Woman is miraculously pulled from the mangled wreckage of her car without a single broken bone

  • Linda Meyer was waiting at red light at the Gold Coast around 5.30pm last week
  • Soon after she was hit by a man in a Ute causing her car to spiral into other lanes 
  • The whole left side of her blue Honda was severely battered following crash

A woman who was rear-ended by a careless ute driver was miraculously pulled from the wreckage of her mangled car without a single broken bone.

Linda Meyer exited the Mooloolaba Sunshine motorway exit, on the Gold Coast, around 5.30pm on October 8, before coming to a halt at a red light. 

Soon after stopping, her car was sent spinning across two lanes after being slammed into from behind.

‘I was hit from behind by a man in a Ute going too fast and not paying attention,’ she wrote on Facebook. 

‘He hit me at least going 90km an hour and pushed me into a spin into ongoing traffic.

‘I cannot remember too much after that…all I know is the car was crushed in around me but I was alive.’  

Shocking footage shows the severity of the crash, with the entire left side of Ms Meye’s blue Honda destroyed.

The rear and side of the car appeared to be caved in,  with the front bumper detached following the impact of the heavy hit.

She asked other motorists to take care when driving and be more alert

Ms Meyer was trapped until police and paramedics arrived and safely pulled her from the mangled wreckage. 

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries but no broken bones. 

‘I am black and blue but so thankfully of the outcome considering,’ she wrote.
