Woman tears road rage rival’s headscarf off and beats her face

This is the moment a woman’s headscarf is torn off and she is repeatedly beaten in the face with a blunt object by a female rival following a road rage incident.

Shocking footage shows the two middle aged women screeching at each other as they battle in front of more than a dozen witnesses before being dragged apart.

Another woman collapsed in pain when she was apparently hurt trying to separate the pair in Walsall, West Midlands, and a man was seen in a blood-drenched T-shirt.

Police said a man was injured after being hit on the head with a ‘blunt implement’ during a confrontation between the occupants of an Audi A4 and a Ford Transit van.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault and officers want people to come forward with information. Police say everyone involved was ‘known to each other’.

A video of the brawl – captured by an onlooker on a phone – shows a woman in a light green dress grappling with a woman wearing a pink floral gown and headscarf.

The first woman appears to grab her rival’s headscarf and rip it off as she unleashes a flurry of blows at her head with a shiny blunt object.

As several members of the public struggle to pull them apart a third woman in a light pink blouse is seen recoiling in pain, clutching her face.

Stunned, she can only manage a few steps before falling to the ground and curling up into a ball on the kerb.

Police officers then shout ‘get back’ as they get between the warring women and restore order.

Footage of the aftermath shows a man wearing a grey T-shirt covered in blood, although it is unclear whether it belongs to him.
