A woman who shed a staggering 45 kilos in 18 months has celebrated her weight loss by wearing a playsuit and flaunting her legs for the first time in her life.
Amanda De Santis, 37, told Daily Mail Australia she was eating takeout seven to 10 times per week and tipped the scales at 128 kilos at her heaviest.
The Melbourne mother-of-two successfully lost over a quarter of her body weight and dropped four dress sizes through a mixture of rigorous exercise, clean eating and sticking to smaller portions.

‘I can now wear something that I never wore before in my entire life, and that’s a playsuit that sits above my knees,’ Amanda proudly told Daily Mail Australia.
‘And not only that, so many little changes have been happening. My feet shrunk two sizes and even my wedding rings have become loose.’
At her heaviest Amanda says she was overindulging on takeaway meals almost every night and overeating by finishing off her children’s leftovers.
And since embarking on her weight loss journey, the 37-year-old has cut out greasy, fried foods and limited takeaway to once a week or even once a fortnight.
Instead of reaching for a sugar-laden snack or dialing the number for a pizza joint, Amanda says she now chooses to have a healthy yogurt or a handful of nuts when the cravings kick in.

‘These days I eat more frequently, around four to five small meals a day, and for dinner I’ll try to have a meat and vegetable combination,’ she said.
Amanda credits joining a mum’s active group with a combination of boxing, cardio burn workouts, step classes and circuit classes for helping her to drop from a size 22 to a size 14.
In a personal milestone, Amanda finally had the courage to buy herself a thigh-skimming playsuit from Kmart and show off her legs with pride for the first time in memory.
‘I’ve forever hated my legs but I realised I need to be more body positive. These legs have carried me through my journey and I should be proud of them,’ she said.

Sharing her purchase on the Facebook group Kmart Mums, Amanda received hundreds of messages of support from others who connected with her weight loss journey and body image victory.
‘I bought a playsuit that went above my knees showing off my lumps bumps varicose veins and all,’ she wrote.
‘I’m learning to embrace and love the current body I’m in – bumps and all after all it’s carried me through an almost 45kg weight loss.’
