Woman’s thoughtful note on a rock warms hearts

Woman’s thoughtful RUOK day note hidden on a rock warms hearts – before it backfires over one key detail

  • A woman has been slammed over her thoughtful gesture on R U OK Day
  • The woman wrote a note asking people to take a free biscuit for their morning
  • But she also insulted ‘Karens’ in the letter which left some disappointed

A thoughtful woman who left a note and free biscuits for people seeking mental clarity on their morning walk has been criticised over one key detail.

The woman attached the note, which asked everyone to take a biscuit for their morning tea, to a brown paper bag filled with the sweet treats – but her reference to ‘Karens’ in the note left some disappointed.

‘I know how many of you walk around the lake for mental clarity, so if that is you please help yourself to a biscuit to have with a cuppa at morning tea,’ the note read.

‘Kindly limit yourself to just one and dispose of the rubbish thoughtfully. For the Karens out there I will be back to collect the empty bag.’

A thoughtful woman who left a note and free biscuits for people seeking mental clarity on their morning walk has been criticised over one key detail

The note was shared online with commentators quickly pulling it to pieces.

‘It started as a kind and thoughtful gesture but then went awry with passive aggressive sentence at the end. Very odd,’ one person commented on the post.

A woman, whose name is Karen, was not impressed, especially because the note and biscuits were left as part of R U OK day.

‘Why do people always pick on Karens. That isn’t doing any Karens’ mental health any good,’ she said.

A picture of the note was posted online after someone found the bag of biscuits, but they did not see the malice in it.

‘To the beautiful soul who did this thoughtful act, thank you! It truly made our day,’ they said in the caption.

And others tended to agree with them, looking past the general feeling of discomfort.

‘This is such a beautiful gesture, thankyou,’ one woman wrote.
