As any woman bigger than a B cup will tell you, strapless bras for bigger boobs are often a waste of time, offering little to no support.
And that’s why underwear retailer Curvy Kate has devised a strapless bra design that is so supportive, you can even cartwheel in it.
So confident are they in this bra’s abilities, the retailer invited 20 wannabe models to participate in a cartwheel challenge to see if the bra could live up to its hype.
Freewheeling: Women were invited to test the bra by performing cartwheels
Gravity defying: The bra also passes the headstand test
Strike a pose: The bra which costs $75 is available in black, white and nude
Jump for joy: The bra is available in sizes 28D-40J
Filmed during a casting call to find the US face of the brand, the video evidence shows the women jumping, leaping and twirling around a studio, with one model cartwheeling across the screen wearing just the bra and some panties.
Miraculously her breasts stay safely tucked into the bra, barely moving as she completes the movement.
‘As we are looking for our next model via our Star in a Bra competition it seemed like the perfect opportunity to capture the bra being worn by a variety of different women and proving that it can successfully support different breast sizes and shapes even during excessive movement,’ Head of PR and Marketing, Hannah Isichei said.
Featuring foam lining, ‘inside sling support’ and four hook and eye fastenings at the back, the bra has been engineered to provide lift and support without slipping.
Two years in the making, it costs $75 and is available in three shades (black, white and nude) and comes in sized 28D-40J.
All smiles: Customers say the bra is comfortable and supportive
Gravity defying: Most women can only get this kind of support from a sports bra
Front runner: The bra keeps jiggle to a minimum
Blown away: The video shows how the bra can withstand high impact movements
And customers have been raving about it too, with the majority of reviews on the Curvy Kate website revealing that the bra does exactly what it says it does.
‘I’ve never had a strapless bra lock me in and hold everything before, but this bra did just that,’ an anonymous reviewer wrote.
While customer Jane Kitchen revealed, ‘this is the second one of these I bought within days of receiving my first. Amazing support and soooo comfortable, I’ll never need to look anywhere else for a strapless bra again.’
Another happy customer Emily Kilkelly wrote: ‘Perfect fit, everything looks amazing and my boobs don’t move at all! The bra is secure without being painful like other strapless bras I have tried in the past.’
