Young women claim they were date rape drugged and left ‘paralysed’ after drinking and partying with tennis star Bernard Tomic and his mates.
The two girls spent time in a VIP booth at a nightclub in the Gold Coast allegedly with Tomic on the same night – but woke up next to each other in hospital.
Doctors suspect the girls’ drinks were spiked with strong date rape sedatives including the horse tranquilizer ketamine and other drugs.
Mr Tomic has denied he was involved or knew anything about alleged drink spiking but confirmed he was at the club that night and said there were up to 20 people in the booth including some he did not know.
Savannah Connerly, 20, was left lying helpless and ‘paralysed’ while on a night out celebrating her birthday
Miss Connerly claims she had her drink spiked and had spent time at the club earlier in the night in Bernard Tomic’s booth
Paige McCarthy was also at the Gold Coast club on the same night as Miss Connerly and said doctors told her she had ketamine in her body
Video of the moment Savannah Connerly, 20, is lying helpless on the floor shows the damaging effects of the drugs was aired in Monday’s A Current Affair.
Paige McCarthy was also in The Bedroom club in Surfers Paradise on the same night and the two girls say they were invited to the tennis player’s booth.
The two girls say they were offered a drink but not by Tomic himself.
‘I couldn’t get up or walk or anything. Even when I woke up in hospital I still felt, like, just dead,’ Miss Connerly told the Channel 9 program.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Mr Tomic was involved in alleged drink spiking or knew anything about it
Miss McCarthy said she had not even had a drink before entering the club but could not even lift her eyelids
Miss McCarthy, who says she had not even had a drink before entering the club, also said she felt paralysed and could not lift her eyelids or body.
‘But I could hear everything that was going on around me but I couldn’t see, couldn’t move.’
She believes there was an incident in the booth but didn’t directly accuse Tomic.
She said a friend of Tomic was also there when she walked into the booth but didn’t tell her his name.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Mr Tomic was involved in alleged drink spiking or knew anything about it.
Both girls and their mothers believe someone in the booth spiked their drinks that night.

Miss Connerly said she recalled the morning after that she had received a drink from a man.
In hospital, her friend told her they had drank the same amount and that she believed she had been spiked.
Miss McCarthy said she could not believe what doctors told her in hospital especially referring to her having ketamine detected in her body.
Snapchat footage from one girl who spent the night at a nightclub in Surfers Paradise with Bernard Tomic
She said: ‘I mean, no wonder I went down like a tonne of bricks.’
Another girl, Lauren, claims she also collapsed after spending the night with Tomic and his friends at the same Gold Coast club nearly two years ago.
She claims she was offered a drink in the booth.
Lauren has a saved Snapchat video showing the moment she left the club with Tomic in his Lamborghini to a nearby hotel.
Lauren claims she also collapsed after being drugged on a night out two years ago when she met Tomic and some of his friends
But by the time she got upstairs, she said she had collapsed and was put into a cab by Tomic, she claims.
Lauren said: ‘I feel so guilty for not saying something because girls have to go through it because I didn’t say anything. I was so embarrassed.’
Police say an investigation is ongoing into allegations of drink spiking.
Management from The Bedroom claimed they had found no evidence of drinks being spiked from CCTV footage and said they will continue to assist police.
