Woolworths is selling a hot chicken sharing platter for $25

Woolworths is selling a 12 person Christmas platter for only $25, and the bargain buy includes two roast chickens, coleslaw, pasta salad and 12 bread rolls.

The hot chicken sharing platter is made fresh to order from Woolworths’ hot deli and Aussies have said it’s the perfect ‘Christmas day time saver.’

Shoppers save $8 when they purchase the platter valued at $33 – which includes two roast chickens normally $11 each, coleslaw, pasta salad and bread rolls.

One mum shared her delight to have scored the bargain to popular bargain hunting group Markdown Addicts Australia.

‘That’s one easy Christmas for me this year I’ll just add a little bit of seafood and won’t need to spend the day before Christmas or Christmas day stuck in the kitchen,’ she said.

To get your hands on a platter, customers must place an order in store at least 24 hours before picking up.

The mum ordered hers two weeks before Christmas and said she will have to pick it up the Friday before Christmas as the store gets very busy. 

The platters are individually prepared upon ordering from the deli.

Savvy shoppers are raving about the deal and many went straight to their local Woolies to order one for Christmas.

‘Gee that is a good deal,’ one woman said. 

‘Thank you all ordered,’ another said.

One mum also told shoppers you can use Everyday Rewards on the platter to further your savings. 

However, others have warned that you will have to move fast to get this deal for Christmas.

‘Before hoping for Christmas Eve pickup check now with your local store. Mine has closed all Christmas Eve orders as they are now full,’ one disappointed shopper said.

Woolworths also sells other sharing platters, such as the five person seafood platter which costs $55 (pictured)

The supermarket offers a range of sharing platters freshly made from the deli.

Another popular buy is the $25 seafood platter for two, which includes smoked salmon, oysters and prawns.

A larger version of the platter that feeds five people can be bought for $55.

However, shoppers have warned that seafood platters need to be ordered 48 to 72 hours in advance.
