Woolworths has recalled a popular ice cream over fears it could cause illness.
The major supermarket has recalled its Woolworths brand Cookies & Cream Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches 4 Pack (440mL).
The product has been available for sale at all Woolworths stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.
The recalled packs have a best before date of November 2, 2024.
‘Food products containing metal may cause illness/injury if consumed,’ Food Standards Australia warned in an alert on Wednesday.
‘Consumers should not eat this product and should return the product to their nearest Woolworths supermarket or Woolworths Metro for a full refund.’
