Wooroloo shooting: Residents urged to ‘lock your doors’ as police swarm suburb after incident with a firearm

Residents of an outer Perth suburb have been warned to lock their doors as specialist police respond to an ongoing firearm incident.

It’s understood a man was shot at the intersection of Needham Road and Marauba Close, in Wooroloo, approximately 55km east of Perth’s CBD about 9am on Saturday. 

A significant police presence is present in the area, including several specialist units.

St Johns paramedics and a rescue helicopter responded to the incident. 

Residents are advised to remain indoors and keep their doors locked as the situation unfolds.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to police immediately on triple-0.
