World Cup 2018 LIVE: All the latest from fans and players as England take on Tunisia

Excitement has reached fever pitch as England limbers up for its opening World Cup 2018 match against Tunisia.

The team will play their opening game at Russia’s Volgograd Arena tonight, where 2,000 fans are expected to cheer on their side.

England and Tunisia have only met twice before – and the last time was the 1998 World Cup, where England celebrated a 2-0 victory.

Some British soldiers have defied military bosses and warnings from the Ministry of Defence of possible security risks by travelling to watch the tournament.

Relations between Britain and Russia has been tense in the wake of the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal in March.

But the Three Lions are ready to go – and Rebekah Vardy has jetted in with her children for the tournament.
