World Cup 2018 LIVE: All the latest from fans, players and their WAGs in Russia 

Thousands of fans have been arriving in Russia for the 2018 World Cup which kicked off last night amid colourful scenes in Moscow. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin watched his side beat Saudi Arabia in the opening game of the tournament. 

Supporters without tickets have been told to watch the games in special fan zones, equipped with massive screens. 

There is heavy security around all of the stadium venues, but so far there have not been any reports of violence. 

Gareth Southgate’s England team have been training today ahead of Monday’s opener against Tunisia.
