‘World first’ hip-hop project with non-verbal artists Speak Up Hunter

A world first hip-hop music video features two non-verbal artists who have used technology to rap their song.

The hip-hop music video ‘This Is My World’, was composed by seven members of Speak Up Hunter, a local peer support group run for and by people with intellectual disability, in Newcastle, New South Wales.

Two of the non-verbal artists, The King (Robert King) and MC Jaco (Jacob Hughes) featured in the song input their lyrics into a computer program that ‘rapped’ them back for them.
