World leaders are signalling their power, authority and control at the crucial G7 summit while Boris Johnson is seen to have ‘the look of a naughty schoolboy’, a body language expert has revealed.

The Prime Minister is attending his first G7 summit as Britain’s Prime Minister this weekend and has already traded barbs with EU Commission President Donald Tusk, with the pair both saying the other would be known as ‘Mr No Deal’ if they did not compromise on Brexit.

Both Mr Johnson and Mr Tusk were pictured with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte today in Biarritz, France.

Body language expert Judi James told MailOnline there was a ‘sense of intimidation emerging from the other world leaders’ body language’ at the summit which could ‘make Boris’s air of happy oblivion both frustrating and even confusing for them’.

'Macron has taken the lead role in the group, previously standing to attention for the cameras, said body language expert Judi James (pictured: Boris Johnson with French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 summit in Biarritz, France)

She added: ‘Merkel has adopted her signature forward hand steeple which is a gesture that can aim to emphasise personal power and control, although the height she has raised it to suggests it’s being turned into a barrier gesture.

‘Macron has taken the lead role in the group, previously standing to attention for the cameras, although this moment to Boris concerns a raised index finger that suggests he’s trying to flex his authority to our new PM with this authoritarian parental gesture.

‘Tusk’s pose looks straight from a Tarantino movie with a hard frown and stare and slightly puffed chest.

‘At the end of this pseudo aggressive line up Boris poses in a way that is so totally out of kilter with the others though that it could almost be seen as a complete rejection of the group.
