One elderly man was moved to tears when his grandson flew across the country to surprise him.
A blind World War II veteran had recently lost his older sister, so his family members joined together to cheer him up.
His grandson had moved from Wisconsin to Florida and no longer saw him regularly, but showed up at a diner disguised as a waiter to surprise the veteran.

The footage, captured in Racine, Wisconsin, on January 10, shows the blind, 90-year-old grandfather ordering food from his grandson who he thinks is a waiter.
‘You don’t recognize me?’ asks the grandson.
The grandfather then explains he is legally blind.

The grandson replies: ‘You only talk to me a couple of times on the phone every day.’
‘Oh for God’s sake,’ the elderly man says before going to shake his grandson’s hand.
He then begins to cry as the rest of the family explains they were all in on it.
‘My whole life I’ve been extremely close with my Grandpa as he is the only male role model that I’ve had,’ the man explained
