A shop assistant in the US foiled one armed robber’s attempt to empty the cash register by simply leaving the building and then locking the door behind her – caging the man in ready for the police to arrive.
The CCTV footage shows the armed robber walking into the premises and demanding that the woman there open the register.

The woman, believed to be a shop assistant, replies: ‘No. No don’t open it’.
She then leaves the shop and ushers the customers – including a baby – to follow her outside.
‘Lock him indoor’, she tells a fellow woman.
Realising he is suddenly prisoned in the property, the armed robber kicks the door and says: ‘F*ck I’m stuck’.

He then proceeds to throw his whole body against the door. He does this two times before saying: ‘I’m stuck in this now.’
The worried armed robber then kicks the door to try and escape the situation he has landed himself in.

After a couple of minutes, police officers open the door and enter the property as the man lowers his head and pleads with his hands.
Police shout: ‘Get your hands up! On the ground! On the ground!’
Half a dozen police officers enter the property and soon overpower and arrest the would-be robber.
