WWE star Eva Marie, 33, (shown at a January event in Santa Monica, California) has opened up about her alcohol addition and recovery

Natalie Marie Coyle, better known by her professional wrestling name Eva Marie, has opened up about her struggles with alcohol addiction and her lifelong road to recovery.

The WWE Diva, 33, who recently celebrated five years of sobriety, has been known to speak candidly on the debilitating disease which she revealed left her at ‘rock bottom’ in her 20’s.

The bombshell performer and fitness model previously spent time behind bars for her repeated drinking and driving offenses and had trouble holding a steady job.

‘My mind was a mess, my life was a mess,’ Marie penned in the personal essay for InStyle Magazine Wednesday.

‘I’m an alcoholic. I have relapsed, destroyed relationships, hurt my family, and disappointed myself numerous times.’

The ‘Total Divas’ star revealed she had been living in a discounted rental at the height of her addiction that was offered at a low price because a previous tenant had been murdered inside.

The dark memories of her past, though, pushed her to to seek help for a problem many others have dealt with – which she said has made her the person she is today.

‘I attend 6 a.m. AA meetings multiple times a week and do weekly step work with my sponsor,’ she explained in the essay.

The now-married businesswoman continues to attend therapy sessions for a temptation she said will live in her forever.

Throughout her journey, the California-born Marie has found reward in helping other women who have walked in her shoes and continuously searches for sponsors.

Her purpose in life now is to continue thriving in her relationships, work productively and lead an overall healthy lifestyle.

While she does so, she said it’s important for her to admit the truth.

‘The road to my recovery did start with a very simple admission: I am an alcoholic. And admitting that truth saved my life,’ Marie said.

The performer, who left WWE back in August after four years, keeps busy with her other businesses.

She does so with the support of her family and husband, actor and fitness trainer, Jonathan Coyle, 36.

‘It is the best change I’ve ever made in my life… it is work, and it is time consuming.’ Marie said.

‘I will be an alcoholic for the rest of my life.’
