The singer, 30, has not performed a gig since 2022 but wowed the crowds at London’s Mighty Hoopla music festival over the weekend.

Cher showed off her toned tummy in a diamante-studded crop top and donned a pair of red army pants for her turn on the stage.

In terms of makeup, she went for a natural look and accessorised with a pair of chunky hooped earrings whist securing her dark locks up into a ponytail.

The pop star opened her mini set with the track Oath, then performed Want U Back and None Of Your Business before closing things out with her signature track Swagger Jagger.

Cher shot to fame in 2010 when she took part in the for The X Factor with a standout audition in which she performed the Keri Hilson version of Souja Boy track Turn My Swag On.

She was mentored by Cheryl throughout the series and finished in fourth place behind One Direction, Rebecca  Ferguson and Matt Cardle.

She quickly released her chart-topping debut album Sticks + Stones and then Sorry I’m Late in 2014 but has only brought out a handful of singles since then.

In 2012, she got engaged to Craig Monk and they married the following year before moving briefly to the US and going on to have Delilah-Rae, six, and Eliza Violet, nine months, upon their return to the UK.

Her triumphant performance comes just weeks after she took to Instagram to share a warning to her followers after experiencing a brake failure in her car while driving with her daughters.

Explaining what happened, she shared a photo of her car and wrote: ‘This is my Ford Ranger. My brakes totally failed with no warning while driving with my baby and my 5-year-old.

‘Total engine failure due to the wet belt. To anyone who owns one or is thinking of buying one, BEWARE! I’m counting my lucky stars that my family is safe. This beautiful vehicle, however, has retired well before her time @forduk.’

Looking back on her ‘diva’ persona during her time on The X Factor, Cher told Fabulous magazine in 2012: ‘I was a beast! Everyone hated me.

‘I was young and foolish. Part of me was trying to show I was strong enough to do it, and then I think it all got too much for me.

‘I was angry with the way I was being edited and because of that I turned into this horrible person, with a terrible attitude.’
